The first story we would like to share with you is the travel blog post on one of our favourite town. In this story we would like to present time in beautiful capital of Austria, Vienna. We experienced this town in each period of the year. It was perfect in every weather, but we preferred it the most in late spring, beginning of summer. The town is spot on for weekend getaway and what is has to offer is more than any traveller would desire for when thinking how to perfectly spend free time and to create story.
Place to stay
If you are in a search for a place to stay there we recommend, Motel One Hauptbahnhof. This motel is amazing if you are searching for reasonable price, modern design and eco-friendly. The room are functional clean with minimalistic design and their significant turquoise colour. The view from top floor is stunning, spacious bathroom has an amazing glass shower which is supplied with eco organic product for your body. It is a great room to be used in two! Linens are hundred percent organic cotton and they have the fluffiest pillows and blankets. You just want to sleep all day long, instantly you relax! But you will not mind waking up in the morning, breakfast is exceptional. This is one of our favorite things at this motel. Breakfast is rich, fresh, seasonal and local. They keep the eco organic note true all experience at your stay there.
Explore Vienna
You will love to explore Vienna, public transportation is easy to use and you can always rely on My Taxi app. But you will walk, more or less. In Vienna is always windy, especially in cold moths the wind in sharp so make sure that your outfit include hat, scarf and gloves. It will help you to stay longer at beautiful walks true Belvedere and Schönbrunn gardens that you just must observe for a while to inhale all of it. Do not miss the ZOO at Schönbrunn and make sure you take an audio guide true palace. With little imagination music of Mozart and story told in your ear will just put you to time machine. You will do a lot of walking in Vienna; city center is amazing. There are thousand things to do and see there so you are at the right place if you love history, music and art. Advice, plan your trip vise, separate town on squares. Do not miss St. Stephen`s Cathedral at Stephan Platz and other monuments at historic center such as State opera house. When you are there do not miss the traditional Wiener schnitzel at Plachuttas. Make sure you have some coffee and desert at Demel or have some drinks at Hyatt and enjoy in amazing place. Check out Loft for amazing dinner experience, the view in and out is exceptional. Or just enjoy at casual evenings, for example we just loved vintage English cinema, where they serve great beer. Take a walk at Mariahilferstrasse to enjoy in urban city vibe and do some shopping. Take time to see Christmas markets if you visit destination from the end of October. Do not forget to drink mulled vine, ice skate at beautiful light surrounding next to some traditional Austrian music.
Save the date – Summer Night Concert Schönbrunn
If you are more of a summer person, try to plan you visit in time for the Summer night concert. Save the date for 2019, 20th June. At the concert, Viennese philharmonic play open air in Schönbrunn Palace park to the high standard. They play this concert every year since 2004, with free entrance as a gift to the people of Vienna and all the friends around the world. This way famous ensemble gives 100 000 visitors and media the most amazing experience. This concert is by all very popular, prepare to book your stay on time it tends to be full booked. When planning to get to the palace, prepare to come early, tram is going to be full. Pack a blanket for a full experience on the top of the garden admiring the view from above but get there on time after 7 pm they block the entrance to the upper part of the garden then the only solution left is to stand, because sitting in front of the fountain is not allowed. Have in mind that the beverages, cameras, drones and other is not permitted to enter. And at the end hurry, 100 000 people will try to get out of the garden at the same time. Prepare to be very close to everybody at your ride home at tram, it is not recommended to use other transportation due to crowded traffic. But you can always walk in this amazing town enjoying in the impression and warm night of bonding.
