When it comes to plan your trip at Venice it is easy to make it one day, just get ready to walk a lot and set clear destinations and things you want to see. We did 16 km in one day on foot! Pack some additional bottles of water, hat and SPF lotion in summer can be useful to protect you from strong sun and try to hide in shade of many allies of the town. Venice are a perfect destination for wanderlust souls, history and architecture lovers. This town built on water is just one of a kind must see thing in life.

But of course, do not miss: Ponte di Rialto, Ponte dei Sospiri, Torre dell’Orologio, Basilica di San Marco, Canal Grande, … I you do not like to stand in the line try buying tickets in advance and book some tour guiding for the best possible experience and a history story telling.
We saved the best for the last, Gondola ride. Make sure you take the Gondola near the St. Mark’s square, to be able to go under the Ponte dei Sospiri and to join Canal Grande. It is one of the kind experiences, and how often will you get the chance to do that? So, prepare to pay the price, word of advice it is the same price everywhere so do not search for cheaper offer or to bargain. If you do not feel like spending too much money for Gondola ride you can buy tickets before entering the town for the public transportation and experience this town on the water. If you are there for more than one day try to plan an afternoon trip on some of the closet islands. Famous and most popular glass making Murano island is perfect for some presents buying but Burano island is also worth a visit. This city is amazing and it has more than you can imagine to offer. Just take enough time to enjoy in elements you love the most.
